The Kali Gandaki River rises in Mustang, which is situated upon a high plateau bordering with Tibet. It boasts one of the deepest gorges in the world dropping between Dhaulagiri ( 8167 meters) and Annapurna ( 8091 meters).
Its glacial runoff from the Annapurna mountains make for big volume fun whitewater and it is a truly a fantastic river for kayakers and rafters alike. Rapids such as ‘ Little Brother, Big Brother’ and ‘Rafters Refund ‘ will have paddlers feeling exhilarated.
There are also tranquil calm sections to enjoy the spectacular scenery and watch the monkeys play on the cliffs. Lush rainforests line the river banks and camping is on beautiful sandy beaches.
3 Hours Before Flight Time
After breakfast take all your bags and load them on our private bus and load the rafts/kayaks and all food and equipment for the trip as well. Drive approximately 3 hrs. to the put in of the Kali Gandaki River starting point to Maldunga. We will paddle approximately 95km over 3 days.
Have lunch and get prepared for the river trip. Paddle the afternoon on lovely whitewater of class 3 level. Camp on riverside beach just after the rapid called big brother
Have a yummy breakfast and then pack up and get ready for an awesome day of super fun whitewater with stunning scenery. Class 3 plus easy 4 whitewater with lots of fun waves to play on along the way. Have lunch on a riverside beach and paddle another couple of hours of fun rafting and few kilo mitre above the rapid called landslide Camp on riverside beach.
Have a breakfast and then pack up and get ready for an awesome day of super fun whitewater with stunning scenery. Class 3 plus easy 4 whitewater with lots of fun waves to paddle out to mostly class 2-3 rapid and little bit flat water ad the end to finish with. Take out at the hydroelectric dam at Mirmi. Load up our private bus. Have lunch and then drive back to Pokhara approximately 4 hrs. drive through some picturesque hills and countryside.
Please tell us if you are a non-swimmer, or not very confident in the water. Also, it is essential that you inform us of any medical conditions that may affect your well being on the trip. Don’t forget to request vegetarian meals if required.
