The Kali Gandaki River rises in Mustang, which is situated upon a high plateau bordering Tibet. It boasts one of the deepest gorges in the world dropping between Dhaulagiri ( 8167 meters) and Annapurna ( 8091 meters).
Its glacial runoff from the Annapurna mountains makes for big volume whitewater fun that is truly fantastic for kayakers and rafters alike. Rapids such as ‘ Little Brother, Big Brother’ and ‘Rafters Refund ‘ will have paddlers feeling exhilarated.
There are also tranquil calm sections to enjoy the spectacular scenery and watch the monkeys play on the cliffs. Lush rainforests line the river banks and camping is on beautiful sandy beaches.
